Adrienne Rubin, Cantorial Soloist
Adrienne Rubin has been Temple Micah’s Cantorial Soloist since 1998 and has taught music in the Hebrew school since 1996. Adrienne enjoys leading the music of services in a way that encourages members of the congregation to participate. Before coming to Temple Micah, Adrienne served as the Cantor at the University of Rhode Island for the High Holy Days for five years. She also served as a guest cantor and a soloist for several synagogues in Massachusetts, where she lived until November 1994.
Adrienne graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Music Theory and Composition in June 1988. She studied voice and opera with Peter Elvins and coached with Thom Christoph. She has sung numerous operatic roles and has performed as a soloist in a wide variety of choral works.
Adrienne is usually joined at services by her husband Doug and son Elian. By day, she serves as the Director of Nonprofit Solutions at Heartland Payment Systems, where she is responsible for managing Heartland’s offerings for nonprofit organizations throughout the country.
